We made it safely to the airport and are awaiting our departure. We fly from PDX to Newark, then transfer to JFK and then fly out Sun night to Dakar, Senegal.
Thanks for the rocking "see you soon" "goodbye" party. We'll post as soon as we can to let you all know we are safe and sound.

Hi, sorry I didn't make the party, I tried. I drove there and didn't seen anyone but only had like 10 mins anyway. Miss you and be safe. Send me a postcard! (I mean if you can)
Its so cool how most of our close friends/fam are bloggers so you'll still stay connected. You have to update your blog EVERY day. Take pictures of food for me and tell me about.

Hey, so glad we were able to come and be part of the sendoff, and now also glad to know you've both arrived safely. Just joining the ranks of those anxiously awaiting the first update now... ;-)
