So Crystal got this REALLY cool camera for her birthday back in Jan. and she has been playing with some of the features, there is a TON to learn. Here are a few pictures that she has taken that have turned out pretty good. These are just for fun.

night walk in the snow

This weekend we took an evening/night snow shoe walk in the woods at Ikenick Sno-Park (Central Oregon). We started a little before dusk, we got a nice winter snowscape view for about half the 2 hour hike. Then it got dark, but the reflection of the moon on the snow was bright enough that we didn't have to use our headlamps for most of the hike.

Joei had a blast, she obviously didn't have snow shoes so she was about up to her chest in snow the entire time. That didn't seem to bother her,in fact she seemed a little bothered that we were going so slow with our fancy shoes. Next time we will try in the daylight, there is supposed to be an AWESOME view of 5 mountains from the halfway point. We'll keep you posted on how that goes.
