In Memory

This last weekend was a bitter/sweet time of remembering the life of a great man. Though circumstances for the family being together were not ideal, we have great hope in knowing we will see Grandpa again.

Grandpa Heidebrecht (handsome, eh?).

The entire family (four generations).
All the kids surrounding Grandma in the middle (she's too small to see, but she is in there).
All the grandsons.
The polebearer flower ceremony.
Hanging out with all the cousins, remembering all the important things Grandpa taught us.

i aint no holla back girl

So you know when you look back on pictures of yourself and you think, "man I would be happy if only I could fit into those clothes again" ? well...for me this is high school and though I know my credibility as a tough girl will forever be ruined, I just couldn't help myself.

Now I can't do backflips or splits or anything like that, but just you wait until next Halloween when Scotty is dressed up as the quarterback or something and you'll be wishing you hadn't made fun of me, now wont you?...who am I kidding, you guys are gonna kill me anyway.

Hope this puts a smile on your face!!!

snow camping at the beach

Went to the beach this weekend, checked out a Crab and Boat festival.
Beaver Boat.
Cool handmade kayacks, weird though, they are covered in some sort of plastic fabric thing.
Joei got into a fight with this squirrel, thought the mini yurt was cute.
Checking out the fish at the OSU aquarium.

Then it snowed at the beach.
The morning after.

remember when your mom taught you to share?

Sharing is always hard, especially when it's your favorite toy, but then the smile on your friend's face is worth it all. Katie knows how to rock the scooter world.

What I think is so great about this one is that despite my best efforts to share it just didn't work, I mean Jessica looks mad at me...that's the last time I share my toys.

Vegas

We took a much needed last-minute break to Vegas for a couple of days. We stretched our spring break as long as we could. Quite the change from snowing in Oregon to hanging by the pool in Nevada.

The Strip from the air. We stayed at NY, NY. (two hotels up from the Luxor pyramid)

Our room has a hot tub/jacuzzi!!!

Dinner at Nine Fine Irishmen.

Looking down from the balcony into Nine Fine Irishmen. We had the Celtic Chicken and the Roasted Red Pepper soup and we recommend both. More to come.

Obama at the Dream

Obama came to Corvallis to get pizza at the Dream. Our flatmate is the little guy in brown to the right of Obama....nice baby Josh!!!

When Obama eats people cheer...wish they did that for me.

Sorry about the quality, better than nothing though eh? You can thank baby Josh for getting the camera phone in on all the action. (Ladies, he is eligible and available.)

farewell tiny scooter

It is a sad day but it was bound to come. We had to sell the tiny yellow scooter A) because it was broken and we were unable to fix it, B) because Crystal got the new Ruckus scooter and 3) because we needed the moo-lah.

It should be in good hands though, we are very confident the nice man we sold it to will get her running and back on the open road soon...we will miss you Little Yellow One!

snow caving

We successfully built ourselves a snow cave to sleep in over the weekend. We camped out at Maxwell Butte Sno Park with our friend, Roger, from Dox. Good times.
First, you dig a big hole, this one is about 6 feet deep.
Then you hollow it out and make a platform to sleep in.
Joei is chilling with the candles.
This is the view from the inside.
Cooking breakfast.
King of the mountain, Scotty and Joei are standing on the roof of the snow cave.

the wedding

So Scotty, in all his wisdom, took 358 pictures at the Cleaver wedding...so after he deletes all the "beer goggles" ones, we will be posting pictures soon. Thanks for the requests.
