The Dunes

We spent the weekend at the dunes in Florence with Crystal's parents and nieces.

We spent a lot of time flying kites.And we also rescued a lost dog.

Flying with British Frank

This is a bit old, but still pretty cool. Through Dox we have made a weird friend named Frank. Frank is special because he dabbles in pretty much everything, for example...he built his own plane.

Being the generous guy he is, Frank took us flying in said plane. Scotty did much better at the aerobatics than Crystal did (odd considering Crystal used to fly for a living).

I think Frank looks like some sort of British Intelligence Agent here..."Undercover Frank".

Crystal flew too, Frank even let her drive, though she is too short to reach the foot petals. Kinda like when we started to learn to drive sitting on our dad's lap and he controlled the gas and break..yeah some of us never grew (literally) out of that.

Four years in the making.

So here we are four years after the big day, good thing we have pictures because I don't remember a thing. I would just like to take this opportunity to point out how much things have changed in the last four years, namely...hair.

Champoeg State Park

We enjoyed a weekend at Champoeg State Park. The park is established around a historic town that was washed away in a flood back in the 1800's, as well as a family farm from the same era.

Visitors are encouraged to explore the farm which includes...

...a traditional kitchen garden...
...which traditionally includes tobacco plants...
...also a barn (as well as orchard).
An adventure with the Kelley's wouldn't be complete without some sort of car trouble, here we are stuck on the side of the road...don't worry we did eventually get help and get home.

Beverly Beach

The cool thing about not working bankers hours is having a non-traditional weekend. On a whim we drove to the coast and without reservations were able to stay at Beverly Beach. For those of you familiar with the Oregon Coast during the summer you know what a feat that is. Here are some photos from our adventure:

family reunion

This last weekend we had the opportunity to hang out with Scotty's extended family.
This is a smaller group of the family that hiked at Silver Falls.

Ultimate Season is Upon Us

We played our first ultimate frisbee game of the season. We are playing on a city league team and we aren't very good but we make up for it with enthusiasm.

Scotty's Birthday

Scotty's birthday celebration actually lasted several days this year including all things manly.

His actually birthday (6/10) was spent climbing.

Then we had family time with a BBQ.
